Basic Info

This is a re-make of an original mg map. http://gamebanana.com/css/maps/153563

I have completely re-made the map for a competition in plaguefest.com

How it works

You start in the spawn area. From there there are two randomizing platform which you jump to (,only one platform is active at a time), and then go to the island in the spawn area with portals. These portals give you power-ups and the ability to build the map.

Power Ups

Ninja

Gives you 20% visibility during the game so you can try and sneak around the enemy

Roof Sniper

Gives you access to the roof which is perfect for sniping. Also give you 300hp, which is enough to take a few hits. You can drop down a hole to get into the map and play with your 300 hp that way. The sniper roof breaks after a certain amount of time.

Wall builder

You are teleported to the start area, on your next spawn you will start on top of the map with an ability to spawn walls under you to build the arena. To build simply look down so you can see where you are placing them and press +attack to spawn walls under you. At the end of the building time you will be teleported back to the spawn and play normally.

Floor Builder

You are teleported to the start arena, on your next spawn you will start on top of the map with an m4. With this m4 you can shoot down under you, where your bullet hits a piece of ground will spawn under you. You will start in your spawn building as normal once building timer hits 0.

Music DJ

You get teleported to a DJ room with a sophisticated music picking system. There are instructions there so you can easily pick a track. Once you pick a track you will be teleported to the start building.

Game Modes

I have made 5 game modes to add diversity to the game play!

  • High Friction : You will now walk everywhere instead of running
  • Low friction : You will now slip around everywhere
  • High Grav : No jumping!
  • Low Grav : Get to the enemy spawn through the air!
  • Normal Mode : No changes, just normal game play

Secrets

  • There is a hidden secret grenade which heals you while you hold it, cannot be combined with other perks.
  • The is a hidden song, which I doubt you will find without me showing you or without you decompiling the map

Bugs

  • Due to weird bullet penetration algorithm in CSGO some bullets can cross the triple bullet block texture during spawn (64 units thick ofc)
  • Sometimes people retain the super speed from the builder (count it as a bonus for building)
  • Buyzone bug sometimes.
  • And FINALLY the main reason I am uploading this is because I want feedback, this map crashes for apparently no reason on one server and stays fine on the other server I upload my maps to. I would like to find if this is a bug or a server issue. SO PLEASE if this crashes on your server let me know via steam, steam id in credits.

    Copy the textures needed and change their properties in the .vmf to a non-penetrable material type.

    That should help neh?

    I used a bullet block. That should block all bullets.

    Cause I'm lazy and I don't know if you saw the pm I sent you, here it is instead, with a video:

    I noticed in your builder map that you said the bullet penetration system is bugged, I watched and read a review on it, and it seems GO has gone back to the old days of CS 1.6 penetration system, being that bullet penetration is no longer dependant on length of travel, but material type and strength. With this, no matter how thick a plaster wall may be, it can still be fully penetrated. A good example is on Dust II's Short A - Topside. The corner before coming into the straight away from CT's side can be shot through the plaster stone. It's a competitive feature that was implemented due to the pro's of CS 1.6 wanting it back.
